Today, life is fast, furious and heavily dependant upon the use of fossil fuels. We have become accustomed to a standard of living which most of us are reluctant to compromise. The truth is, in the not too distant future we may be forced to do just that!

The Risks Our Planet Faces
As the world population increases and living standards improve around the world the drain on fossil fuels becomes even greater resulting in a faster release of Green House Gases (GHG) and thus the likelihood of global warming.

Scientists warn us about the consequences of global warming almost daily in the media; rising sea levels, extreme weather patterns, shifting of sea currents and affects on wildlife and our own lives.

We ignore these warnings at our peril!

If we ignore the environmental risks that we create, the world will not be able to sustain us as we live today.

Change for Life
It is therefore obvious that we will have to change; change the way we live and change the fuels that power our lives.

The seeds of renewable energy technology were planted many years ago but it is only recently that the world has come to see this as a major provider to support and sustain our lives.

By harnessing nature in the form of photosynthesis for energy crop growth, wind powered generation, solar radiation for virtually free heat and by recycling waste; we can create a more sustainable energy cycle and start to reduce some of our environmental pollution.

Greener for Life
Greener for Life’s role is to provide the renewable technology and green energy contracts for private and business needs. However, we consider our educational role, both on and off site, to be of equal importance. Greener for Life shows how we can and must make changes to our lives for the benefit of all. By reducing unnecessary energy use and travel, by reducing food waste and by reusing and recycling products we will reduce our environmental impact.

Greener for Life Community
Greener for Life’s community-based energy and education centres, using a combination of technology, will demonstrate how these life changes can make a difference and will hopefully encourage the young and old to embrace them.

Greener for Life Accreditation  
A Greener for Life farm and business accreditation process has been set up to ensure best environmental practice for food and goods production which can be identified by a retail package label.

The Green Fund
As a further unique step a retailer and consumer funded grant system has been established: The Green Fund, to part finance the development of new viable renewable energy and conservation projects around the country.

These systems all work in harmony with nature; they are therefore sustainable and will allow us to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.

We are all part of the natural world and we are therefore a link in the Cycle of Life.
Together we can maintain that cycle and provide a future for the generations to come.
